WINE WALK FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH

Sunday, the 21st, Lisa, Sue Chambers and I had a delightful day on a benefit for women's health. It was a five mile trek and covered three beautiful wineries. It was put on by the Soroptimists and attended by 350 ladies and a few men.( After all it was on a Fall Sunday and we know what most men are doing on Fall Sundays.)

Anyway here we are having a ball and exercising at the same time. We went to Bridgeview, Troon and Wooldrige Wineries. There was a box lunch included. It really was fun.

FRIDAY---LAST DAY THIS STAY

Alice and Anthony just got new feeding chairs. I was able to be the first to feed them in these chairs with Chelsea, their babysitter.

Early Friday morning we once again joined Ron, Amy and the kids for their walk for coffee. We took Nico so Rick and May could sleep in a little. We had a few moments for Nico and Anthony to play. Alice was being fed at the time. I can't believe I missed getting a picture of the three of them together. Anyway here a few snaps I did get. The last couple are of Nico trying out a rocking chair and a rocking horse at IKEA. Friday afternoon we returned home.

TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY WITH NICO

Rick had to go out of town again on Tuesday on business. So Ron and I went over to keep May and Nico company. We also spent time looking at condos. We actually put an offer on one that we especially liked. However, someone out bid us. Easy come, easy go. We are still looking. If we buy a condo we can keep our house in Ashland. That might work out perfectly. We'll see.

ON TO PORTLAND

On Saturday afternoon Ron and I drove on to Portland. Rick and May stayed on at the beach for the Labor Day weekend. We went to spend three days with Ron, Amy, Alice and Anthony.

On Sunday we attended a street fair in the downtown Portland Pearl District. Right then and there Ron decided we should buy a condo in this area. It would be a really cool place to live.
We ducked into an ice cream shop just in time to miss a sudden down pour. The laughing picture was when Amy rolls the giant ball over Alice and Anthony's tummys.

It is so wonderful to be with those precious grandchildren. They are so cute and changing constantly.

WINE TASTING AND MUSIC

A local winery, Roxy Ann, has Thursday night tasting with music and food. We went with our neighbors, Michael and Sean. It was warm and lovely. Lisa even joined us for a delightful evening.

ANOTHER TRIP NORTH FOR A WEEK

On August 29th we drove north to join Rick and May for a night on the beautiful Oregon Coast near Lincoln City. We were all invited to stay in Alberto Salazar's family beach home. Alberto is a famous long distance runner. (Rick's friend, Ean, is somehow connected through his job with Nike).

We spent Friday night and Saturday morning enjoying our time with everyone. We were able to see Nico crawl. We took him on a beach walk. We had such a lovely time.
