MY BIRTHDAY
Today is my birthday and the day was perfect. I woke up around 6:00am and was able to play with Nico for awhile. What fun! When Nico went for a nap Ron and I went to Starbuck's. On our return Rick treated us to breakfast at the outdoor cafe here at Outdoor Resorts. Next we took a walk. Then it was time for Rick and May to pack up for their return home. They flew out of Palm Springs this afternoon.
Ron took me to see FROST/NIXON, an excellent film. We then went to my favorite restaurant, La Palapa. What a nice day!
Most of my photos are of Nico taking his last golf lesson and applying what he learned from Poppi whom Nico is now calling "Popeye". It is his best pronunciation of Poppi and oh so cute! Ron is thinking he may prefer that name anyway. We'll see.

HANGING OUT IN PALMINGS WITH RICK, MAY AND NICO
Yesterday afternoon Rick arrived to join us here in the desert. He was extra happy to rejoin his lovely wife and son. They ran around the little golf course just before dark. Nico was into this sort of soccer type game.
They played around the trailer for awhile.
Then there was our trip to La Palapa for shrimp tacos. We are having fun!

RON'S BIRTHDAY
On Ron's real birthday we began with our trip to Starbuck's. Nico was taking his morning nap. Once Nico was awake we headed to shop for some new golf shirts for Ron's birthday gift from me. Nico helped Poppi. Then after lunch Ron golfed. I didn't go on that one to take some snapshots. After dinner Ron watched the Lakers win their game. I believe he had a fairly nice day.

QUESS WHO ARRIVED IN PALM SPRINGS TODAY?
I am so excited. Nico flew to visit us in Palm Springs. What fun! Nico has already tried golfing, swimming, and driving the golf cart. He even watered some grass for us. He is just walking everywhere. We are so happy he is here. He brought his mommy with him of course. His daddy will join us next Wednesday.
This evening in remembrance of mom I made tuna noodle casserole and at dinner we toasted that most precious of women.

LAST DAYS OF 2008
The last few days of this year were spent in the Southern California. Patty, Melissa, Matt, Angela and Mason were with us at Outdoor Resorts.
The church is St Louis's and was so beautifully decorated this year.
In conclusion, we found this amazing bug on Dad's lot as we were cleaning it up. I think particularly of Kyle (and Candi) when I see this star of God's creation.
