LAST DAY OF AUGUST
We decided to do something special on this last day of August. A convertible ride through the mountains sounded nice. So after a quick breakfast on our deck (the weather has been just perfect this week) I received a wonderful chatty phone call from Amy.
Then we drove to Lake of the Woods for lunch (again). We took a lovely hike . Then we had a picnic by the water and explored the campground where we had stayed so many times in the past. Endless precious memories. No more motorhome. Ron says, considering the cost of gasoline, that selling it was one of the best moves we've ever made. I do miss it sometimes though. Of course I must admit it is lots of fun to ride through beautiful scenery in Ron's "mid-life crisis" vehicle. As you can see we are enjoying ourselves. Retirement can be a prime experience.
P.S. There should be more pics of Ron, but he took most of the photos this day.

The trees look so pretty! Sounds like you are enjoying life right now...that is so wonderful!
Sounds like a nice way to spend your day! It is so beautiful as usual. Although I bet the memories are bitter sweet!
