Another great day!
We started this morning with a delicious continental breakfast at the hotel. From there we took advantage of their wireless service to go online and I made some calls in their beautiful library.
We then drove to the Astoria column and hiked the 164 spiral steps to the top for an outstanding view of the river. After that it was back to Portland to prepare for Grammie's arrival. I was assigned the salad and Amy made pizza.
Next off to the airport. Were we happy to see Mother or what? Ron, Ronnie and I picked her up. Back at R & A's house Amy, Rick, and May were waiting. We had a scrumptious meal and finished it off with a birthday tart. Everything went so smoothly and I am quite grateful.
