In order to see Antibes and Cannes we decided to stay in a small town between the two. It was called Le Golfe Juan. That way we could sightsee in both directions. At one point you could actually see the Alps beyond the water.
One of the nights there Lisa and I went to a little Italian restaurant on the beach. This made Lisa so happy because she could carry on a lengthy conversation with the owner. She said French is nothing like Italian and it frustrated her when she couldn't understand anyone. Ron got a charge out of the Lady with Van Gogh outside a wine shop.
Both Cannes and Antibes were pretty big cities once again. I really did prefer our smaller place. The beaches there were lovely and had little cafes on the sand where you could have coffee or chocolate and we did.
